History

The St. Jerome's College University of Waterloo Invitational Golf Tournament was the brainstorm of Frank Neal (Babes), Chris Gadula (Gad), Lorne St. Louis and Will Lenssen when they got together for golfing in 1996. The following September of 1997, the tournament amassed a total of about 18 golfers.
Note: Based on time and decay of grey matter showing up in the follicles of our aging group, these dates and circumstances may be edited on a monthly basis as new facts unfold.

This is a picture from the St. Jerome's Tournament Archives. Each ball respresents a proud and record breaking moment since the tournament began. The bright red marked ball just left of center belonged to the guy who yelled the loudest prior to driving the ball. He bellowed out "Get outta da way!"
as his 25 yard drive blasted between his legs and headed for the Ladies' Senior Group awaiting its turn.
Each ball has its own story to tell - as does each club swinger that joins us. Pick a ball and check its story out.

Most of the golfers contacted were within the 1971-5 grad group. Since that time, further developments and networks have resulted in others coming on board - or "on course".

We now are proud to make this an annual event of fun and frolic in the sun, the woods, the sand traps, the water hazards, the occasional parking lot and of course the club house.
