The 29th annual All Catholic Senior Girls Volleyball Tournament will take place in Oakville and Burlington, Ontario from February 9th to 11th, 2006. The Halton
Catholic District School Board is very excited to be hosting this most prestigious event.

Organizers at St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Ignatius of Loyola, and Notre Dame Schools are combining to bring you a very exciting 3 days. The weekend will include a Celebration of the Eucharist at St.Matthew's Catholic Church in Oakville on Friday evening at 5:30pm followed by the dinner banquet (and annual talent show of course) just a 5-10 minute drive away at the elegant Oakville Conference Centre. The Conference Centre is one of Oakville's most popular venues for weddings and special events. We are very fortunate to have secured this reservation (booking a year in advance). We look forward to a great celebration of prayer and food with more than 5oo participants.

We have booked blocks of rooms at the two most convenient and popular hotels in Oakville. The Holiday Inn Select which is directly adjacent to the Conference
Centre (1-905-847-1000) and The Quality Hotel And Suites which is directly across the street from the Conference Centre (1-905-847-6667). When phoning either hotel, please mention the All-Catholic Volleyball Tournament. We look forward to renewing friendships that have been established over the years at past tournaments and anticipate making new friends at this year's event.

As tournament hosts ,we hope to provide the kind of tournament that last years hosts from Windsor organized. The 2005 tournament was first class in every way. It is our hope that we can provide a similar quality tournament in 2006.

In keeping with past tournaments, we want to remind everyone that the game of volleyball is only one part of the focus of this tournament and we will try to make sure this is stressed in this year’s activities. The ideas of friendship, camaraderie, teamwork, and celebrating with each other and God always present are important aspects of our Catholic education system and we here in Halton want to make sure that this tradition established 29 years ago continues. Once again, we are very excited to be hosting this year and are eagerly awaiting February.

Good luck to all teams in their upcoming season.
