How to apply for a scholarship:

1. Obtain an application (from the university, college, company, your guidance counsellor). NB: university entrance
scholarships generally are based solely on marks and thus require no application.
2. Prepare a list of awards, certificates, letters of reference, work experience, etc.
3. Create a résumé to include chief interests, extracurricular activities, community achievement, significant
    accomplishments, paid jobs, volunteer work.
4. Think about a budget, the money you’ll have, how much you’ll need and your expected costs. This is important if
    you are applying for bursaries.
5. Do all your work in rough copy. Check spelling, grammar and sentence structure.
6. Be aware of deadlines! These are YOUR responsibility!

Please also check the "Scholarship Listing" link. These scholarships are only a select number. Please refer to the aforementioned websites under "Resources for Information" to obtain applications, criteria and deadlines for additional scholarships.

Please note many scholarship applications require a school transcript; therefore, you must provide the guidance office with at least one week notification in order to process transcript requests.
